The Teachers

Blue Marsden

Blue Marsden is a Hay House author, international teacher, and the originator of a contemporary integrative approach to psychotherapy that brings together psychological depth with spiritual insight.

With academic foundations in Philosophy and a Masters degree in Psychoanalysis, alongside postgraduate training in neuroscience, Blue began his clinical work in counselling, psychotherapy and hypnotherapy in his twenties. Alongside this, he has spent decades immersed in meditation, energetic practices and Advaita (non-duality), which with a more embodied emphasis form the basis of his distinctive approach.

He is the founder of the College’s training model, integrating evidence-based therapeutic understanding with transpersonal, experiential and contemplative work. He has also ran our program in Japan from 2006, has taught internationally for many years and is known for presenting complex ideas in ways that are both accessible and transformational.

A strong advocate of silence, reflection and stepping back from constant stimulation, Blue also leads annual silent retreats incorporating meditation, yoga and qigong (Golden Spine 9 – a movement system he developed).

Dr. Aditi Bhalla

Dr Aditi Bhalla is an Integrative Psychotherapist, Counsellor, Coach and academic journalist who brings together evidence-based psychology with deeper, transpersonal and contemplative approaches.

Formerly a Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London, she developed a distinctive teaching style that bridges academic insight with therapeutic practice. Now working full-time as an Integrative Psychotherapist and primary tutor on the program, Aditi supports professionals navigating burnout, self-criticism and the pressures of modern life, helping them reconnect with clarity, resilience and a deeper sense of direction.

Alongside her clinical work, Aditi is an established voice in the field. She has been featured on BBC Radio, contributes regularly to professional journals, and writes for mainstream publications including Yoga Magazine.

At the College, her focus is on developing psychotherapists who can work with both clinical depth and spiritual awareness, grounded in compassion and psychological rigour.

Kia Bing-Davies

Philadelphia-born international Spiritual Teacher, Integrative Psychotherapist and TEDx speaker, Kia Bing-Davies is known for her intuitive depth and her ability to facilitate meaningful inner transformation.

Her professional journey began in PR and law, taking her across New York, Hawaii, the Canary Islands and the UK. Over time, a deeper calling led her to transition into psychotherapy, counselling and coaching, where she now works full-time supporting clients in both personal and professional growth.

Kia’s approach centres on helping individuals, particularly women, to cultivate a stronger internal compass, reconnect with their intuitive intelligence, and realign with a deeper sense of purpose. Her work integrates psychological understanding with spiritual awareness, creating a grounded yet expansive therapeutic space.

Alongside her clinical work, Kia is a regular speaker on the holistic and personal development circuit and is the founder of the Women’s Knowing Circle in Buckinghamshire, which supports women in reconnecting with embodied intuition and inner knowing.

David Rees

David Rees is an Integrative Therapist, author and one of the most widely downloaded meditation teachers on Insight Timer.

With over 25 years of combined Eastern and Western training, his work brings together meditation, non-dual counselling and integrative therapy in support of deep emotional healing, clarity and self-discovery.

His lifelong enquiry into human nature and consciousness began early and led him to spend several years in Indian ashrams and satsang environments, immersing himself in meditation and self-enquiry. This depth of experience now informs a teaching style that is calm, clear and quietly transformative.

David is the author of Finding Peace in the Very Heart of Life, and within the programme, he contributes a perspective that helps students bridge therapeutic work with presence, authenticity and deeper awareness.

Andrew Cooper-Knight

Andrew Cooper-Knight is a Counsellor, Spiritual Life Coach and experienced group facilitator with over two decades of work supporting individuals through personal change and self-understanding.

He began his work in the field with organisations such as the Terrence Higgins Trust and the Samaritans, where he developed a strong foundation in listening, emotional support and holding space for people navigating complex life challenges.

Alongside this, Andrew has facilitated a wide range of counselling and personal development groups, including work around identity, relationships and life transitions, as well as more spiritually oriented areas such as meditation and intuitive awareness.

He is also a professional astrologer with a long-standing interest in archetypal systems and symbolic language, bringing a distinctive perspective to patterns of behaviour, personal development and the integration of shadow material. In addition to his clinical and teaching work, Andrew has contributed to national publications on subjects relating to spirituality and personal development.

At the College, Andrew is known for his grounded, approachable teaching style and his ability to create a supportive environment in which students can build confidence, develop practical skills and deepen their understanding of both themselves and others.
